Can anyone help me with getting DD-WRT installed?

Thread Starter
I have a TP-Link TL-WR1043ND which can run DD-WRT. I want to install it because the TPLink firmware does not support packet prioritisation, only bandwidth control.

I understand that I need to flash an unlocker and then the DD-WRT firmware... but the confusion is in exactly what files I need to do this and where exactly I get them. I posted on the DD-WRT forum but it's slooow.

Anyone here can help?

I have the same router and have been looking into DD-WRT also. I'm finding lots of people saying its unstable and they couldn't get wireless working on that router using DD-WRT. Which guide did you follow and have you had any issues so far. How do you like it?

Flashing hilariously easy. My one issue was I used the latest version from their router DB which was like 14xxx. This was fine but when I applied QoS it locked my download to upload, so despite setting:

Downlink: 12000
Uplink: 1000

That then locked my download to 100kb/s tongue.gif

To bypass this I downloaded the latest 18xxx which I had to find in the forums. This then worked perfectly!
