The AMD 7970's are one hell of a beast of cards, and run very cool. The great thing about this new technology is they run super cool as well without needing the fan at 100%. Crysis 2, Battlefield 3, and Metro 2033 run great and there is no lag whatsoever, when the drivers first launch BF3 and Crysis 2 were having issues with MSAA, but not anymore, seems AMD picked it up and fixed the issue, hence why they took so long to release the driver. I will be updating the benchmarks as I go but let me tell ya if your looking into getting these 7970's, do not hesitate to get them. If your tech savy like I am, there is no need to wait for Kepler as these cards perform much better then the 580's.

Nice numbers.

I anticipate a 5-10% increase in those scores as drivers continue to mature for these cards.

Now you need to put em under water, these things clock like monsters when kept cool.

I am waiting for Kepler... it is what I am basing my next build off of. thumb.gif it will be worth the wait to have cards that run great and have CUDA technology biggrin.gif

I do need to put them under water, once I get my 3960x I will be getting my CPU and 3 cards of these under water. The cards are awesome and they work very very well.

A minimum framerate of 10 FPS on Metro 2033? Was hoping for better from Crossfire.

BF3 can be maxed at 1080p with xfire 7970s. Some people want a stable 60fps in all games (and 120fps for those with 120mhz monitors).

Your post isn't productive in this thread.

likely just a glitch in the loading or something... just look at the avg. thumb.gif minimum is likely bs is 90% of benchmarks... Batman AC I would run 100+ avg FPS and it would hit 15FPS at start up and claim a 15FPS minimum rolleyes.gif

HA

I just find it amazing how man people play @ 1080p. and I was hoping 1 7970 would max BF3

report my post if you don't like it... good day thumb.gif

Well, a GTX 590 doesn't 'max' BF3 at 1080p, so surely a single 7970 wouldn't.

I feel that your remark on Kepler could have been posted elsewhere, your post would simply incite another radeon vs. nvidia thread.

OP just wants to show benchmarks of his hardware.
