MSI R7970 Crossfire Review - Page 2

The reason I got two is because I like to get constant 120 fps in any game I play, if I do not then I get another card until I do. I purchased a BenQ XL2420T and I take advantage of 120hz. I benched my old gtx 580 lightnings before, just as I do everything else.

I feel that your remark on Kepler could have been posted elsewhere, your post would simply incite another radeon vs. nvidia thread.
OP just wants to show benchmarks of his hardware.

O rly? rolleyes.gif

a 590 is two chips btw thumb.gif and I never said jack about 5xx cards... I am not defending NV or ATI nor bashing either. You can read my post again and see I said I would be waiting for Kepler, I would like to see what it holds before spending $500+ and I likely will buy NV no matter what because it holds more value... ie not just gaming.

But again this isn't a ATIvsNV and I never made it out to be... I was just making fun of his comment... no reason to get so fired up about it.

I totally respect that and we ride the same boat.

I have a 30" (2560x1600) monitor, and I want to play at a avg of 60FPS+, or ELSE!!! mad.gif

I had two highly OCed 3GB GTX 580s.... TWO of them @ 950Mhz couldn't max out that res... I quickly sold them both for what I bought them for and now I am just playing the waiting game. smile.gif

I wasn't going to run three though... not worth it imo.

Probably a silly question but do you have any micro-stuttering?

Great setup btw thumb.gif

100% agree with you, ignore the 'you got xfire 7970 for 1080p blah blah nonsense,' it is quite obvious why you're running xfire when one looks at your sig rig's monitor. wink.gif

Very nice rig! Thanks for the benchies. +rep

Everyone defines micro stuttering differently, honestly on the older drivers I could "feel" the micro stuttering on hits that use MSAA, after the newest update it feels "smooth" just like my 580's that I had before. To be honest, they are improving but every game I have played plays fine and I don't notice any lag when i move the mouse or when I approach more complex items.
