Thread Starter
Ok i run light distros for a long time on my old computer (p4 512mb ram) and never did i really look in to this. But now with my new rig witch i built yesterday (athloniix3, 8gb ram, 4250igpu) im looking for drivers and im haveing trouble. On amds website i can find the driver for my igpu but not the 880g chipset. Pause help! Distro is linux mint if that makes a difference

First, is there a problem with the current driver that is installed? I will never understand why people want to use the radeon driver, I end up having more problems then it is worth.

Anyways, you don't need to download it from AMD site, there is a hardware option in the settings on linux mint somewhere. I think its just called "hardware drivers" and that will allow you to install 3rd party drivers with little to no problem.
