Need to RMA Mobo? Or Processor? Maybe both?

Hi

Since the creation of my rig, I have suffered with 4gb only showing instead of 6gb - tried you know every option google gave me - in the end I pretty much said sod it and lived with it - as I couldn't be bothered to try reseating CPU. (Note, I tested to make sure it wasn't the RAM, for reference, its corsair xms3 2gbx3)

Now, today, I wanted to replace cpu cooler - and thought a good opportunity to reseat CPU etc. I tried look for bent pins, but was too difficiult as I kept the mobo inside case - well long story short - after setting everything up - now it shows 2gb instead of 6.

Before, I thought maybe it was 1 faulty DIMM slot - but now I have a feeling it is to do with seating. I tried reseat again but to no avail.

Now, is it likely the propcessor itself got damaged, or more likely the pins on the CPU socket? I would prefer it to be the latter I guess...

Now, I went through ASUS UK website - but I couldn't find section to RMA motherboards (although, it is pretty easy to find forms to RMA notebooks, EEEPC etc).

Help please!
