Probably a stupid question but I cant figure it out. I download the file click on it then it uncompressed, click on that..... I do not know where to go from their. I do not see a file that says install or a readme. I would really appreciate if some one could help me out with ubuntu basics.

I gave you a full answer. Add the Firefox PPA and install it as you would any other program ( sudo apt-get install firefox ).

You want to have an attitude, then so be it. I'm not going to take my time to google-fu and link or copy/pasta the instructions when you can just as easily. As well, I gave you a clear answer the best I could without spoonfeeding completely. This is Linux, you'll have to learn to do these things sooner or later to get anywhere. Adding a repository is about as basic as it gets.

Sigh.

PPA = Personal Package Archives, it's where all your packages are fetched from when you install stuff via aptitude.

Open up a terminal and type the following;
Code:
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:mozillateam/firefox-stable

sudo apt-get update

sudo apt-get install firefox
