I'm not sure how far away it is because I have yet to find as it requires moving some very heavy things but it's not more than 3 or 4 feet away. I also have a number of slots free as my GTX 580's are watercooled and they both have single slot brackets on them so space is not an issue. I might end up getting a CableCard for summer when I'm home but Ceton said it would have problems when there was no card so I'm definitely leaning towards just a plain tuner card/USB stick.

EDIT* My motherboard only has PCI-E slots by the way

Hmm not sure about your region but i would double check if that tv point is capable of Analog only or DVB-T and so forth. Think your needs could be met with something modest thumb.gif If you intend to archive/record nice stuff over live tv then stick to your favorite video editor/encoder to save into a more "space friendlier" format - i stick to MKV so far and it's all good thumb.gif
