Yeah. Create a fan profile with Afterburner. My card sits at around 70-73C under full load at 1275/1575.

Temperatures around 80 are nothing to worry about. Current GPUs can handle temperatures of up to the high 90s without taking any damage (though most people wouldn't want the temps to be that high). Just set your GPU fans to run a bit higher to bring the temperatures down a bit (until you get to the noise level you want) and you'll be fine.

You havnt once told us ur fan speed when it gets to 80c. It you are just using the stock profile (which would be you not changing the fan speed) then 80c seems pretty normal under full load.

80 degrees is literally a great temperature for a top card in a crossfire setup. As has been said multiple times now if you are not personally comfortable with it and can stand the noise make a custom fan profile.

You can also rearrange or add fans to your case. Positive pressure setups are great for AMD reference cards as they act as exaust on their own.

This is the fan profile I use for my setup, works pretty well. Does get loud, though.

I feel a lot better now reading this, thanks.

I just installed 7950 last night in Crossfire. I noticed the top card was hitting around 80 when playing. Top seemed to be running around 10 degrees warmer than the lower card so this thread has confirmed that this is typically normal. (Reference cards, 1 fan, 1 Sapphire, 1 XFX)

I have a question, running the fans at 50% speed constantly, will this burn them out? I guess that's why I haven't really bothered taking them off auto.

I'd rather have a 2560 resolution PLS panel, 1080p is pretty terrible on a 27" IMHO.

Also, why bother posting this kind of nonsense? OP: your top card will get hot, manual fan will help a great deal if you can stand the noise.
