Windows Complete Total meltdown.... BSoD!

Thread Starter
Ok I will start off by saying that I believe i've tried everything.

I Continue to get BlueScreens although not that often. They are completely random usually during basic functions like using windows explorer.

I Always get warnings saying " Cannot read referenced memory at e.g (0x00012345b). (thats only an example)

I windows explorer always crashes. Most of my programs always crash. chrome, Mozilla, any games....

I have tested my RAM with Memtest86+ I let it run for 2 days and there were zero errors. I ran the windows Memory test from UBCD. I tried testing the HDD for bad sectors, it can up all clean 100% ok. I ran chkdsk /F, it said the filesystem was ok.

I tested the CPU with Prime95. no errors.

The only way i can make the system run stable is using Safe Mode in Windows 7 or using Mini XP from falcon Fours UBCD. I also tried ubuntu but it also has errors during install.

Maybe it's the Graphic Driver? though i've tryed every driver i could find.

I'm usually very good at solving PC problems. This time I'm completely stumped frown.gif .

My Specs are as Follows;

Sony Vaio VPCEH

Intel Pentium Dual Core 2.0ghz

4GB Kingston DDR3 1600mhz

Intel HD Graphics 2000 (Sandy Bridge)

500GB Seagate SATA HDD

BIOS is up-to-date.

Im am Currently running Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit

I've attached my dump files to this post. Please Help

Have you checked your event logs for errors?

A memory error is necessarily a hardware problem, if it relates to how a program is accessing memory and the app(s) are crashing something should be in the application log.

Your attachment is not working, looks like you accidentally deleted the " [ "

When you get a BSOD, you need to write two things down...

#1) The Number that starts with 0X000000_ _

#2) The MESSAGE_IN_ALL_CAPS_LIKE_THIS

This way I can help you out.

I usually get these BSoD's

0x000000C1 Special_pool_Detected_ Memory Corrupt

I tested the memory and it was ok 18 passes of memtest 4.20+

also i get 0x000000D6 caused by win2k.sys

and this one i get when i install windows 7 64 bit 0x0000004E PFN_LIST_CORRUPT

Read my first post before asking further questions because the answer might be in my first post thank you everyone smile.gif

This 4GB RAM of yours. Is this just one stick of 4GB or 2x2GB?

Test them one by one. Also, if you're overlocking set the mobo back to it's default settings for both the processor and the memory.

Its 2X2gb

I've already tested them one by one. i Even tested them each in the different slots. I don't think memory is the cause of the BSoD.

Any other tested that i should run?

When i try to run Ubuntu 11.04 from a live CD i also have problems. The start bar or what ever you call that thing on top in ubuntu dissapears along with all the open windows leaving only the desktop background visible.

Has anyone ever had a problem like this?

Also windows explorer seems to crash as soon as i log in.

Google Chrome crashes when i open it along with Mozilla Firefox.

Most of the BSoD's point to win2k.sys and ntskrnl.exe

If it's a bad mobo then why would every thing run fine in safe mode or in Linux?

If i run safemode or ubuntu 10.04 it has no problems.
