Max temp is 105C on that card. May need a re TIM as I'm sure the card is a few years old.

If you feel like you're up to it, take the heat sink off and re apply thermal paste between the GPU and the heatsink.

Is it on auto fan ramp? If so you get a program called MSI Afterburner. You can set a custom fan ramp. And I definitely agree with reapplying the TIM.

Those temps seem reasonable to me, well within specification as well. May need a cleaning and replace the TIM.
Mine fluctuates from 68-87c(with fan running at 85%) depending on the ambient temperature in my room - and thats 60F at the coolest reaching as high as 86F.

When you mean it was cleaned 2 weeks ago, do you mean literally all taken apart and cleaned properly, or just had the dust blown out of it?

Those cards are naturally got, my 8800GT peaked at 96c overclocked.
Shouldn't be that high, my EVGA 9800 GTX+ peaks at 66 C (in GPU-z there's another temp that gets to 80 C that's not the VRM) while GPU folding 24/7 on a slight overclock.

Also for future reference, try yo break up your post a little, big bunches of text like that throw a lot of people off from reading the whole thing, or they miss information when they read it.

"re tim" means reapply Thermal Interface Material. Basically you asked what re-tim is and then said it yourself- reapply thermal paste!

Also, turn the fan off "auto" in MSI afterburner and turn it up until you can hear it through your headphones. 50% is a good place to start.
