Try reseating the cooler on your CPU. It sounds like its probably overheating.

Make sure all of the screws are in the mobo, could be a ground issue.

Have any other computers to test the power supply on?

Try unplugging and replugging every cable back in. Disconnect anything that isn't vital to getting to the BIOS (like hard drive, DVD drive, or mouse). Also try reseating the RAM.

i've unplugged the liquid cooler and tried using the cpu cooler that came with my chip, and it still shuts down, so i don't think its overheating, i've checked every screw for the mobo and they are all there and are all tightened down, and i only have unplugged everything thats not needed to start up the pc, and it still shuts down after about 20 seconds of running...

How many sticks of RAM are you running? If you're running multiple sticks, try running only one to see what happens. You said the CPU,mobo and liquid cooler are new components.I'm thinking it might be a faulty board. If you had another 2011 board then you can test the CPU,but most of the time the boards are the one's that are faulty. Also that PSU should be enough to power all those components. If you have another PSU though, use it to test the components.I don't know how old your PSU is but It might be that the PSU is starting to crap out coincidentally with your new build.Give it a try,you never know.

yea i have been told by a few of my buddies i game with who know about computers too and they all say it might be a faulty board, my psu is about 6 months old..and i have 16gb of ram, i have tried using only one stick to get it going and still nothing, thinking about sending board back and getting a new one to see if that helps..thanks for the advice.
