Oh wow, just searched and you're right. The price went up, it used to be at 90$ for the longest time for those headphones. Anyway's, take a took at these; http://www.amazon.com/Technica-ATH-AD700-Open-air-Audiophile-Headphones/dp/B000CMS0XU/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1330493412&sr=8-1

You probably don't care about audio quality, especially if you're wanting to get wireless.. But this is just a suggestion either way.

@Technique - I've heard of the PSU he has in his sig rig of frying components tongue.gif
@Yums - Wireless audio can still be high quality. With the set I linked above, it is. thumb.gif
Major derps. The 360s aren't wireless....
The RS120/180 are.

I got a sick $300 leather chair for xmas.. and my.set up is pretty good desk.wise..

I am not actually.huge into audio but wouldnt mind a good wirless pair of cans for skype calls.. sadly.the only.time.i listen to music is at work when i put in some ear buds to lessen the sound of my boss complaining or yelling at work.

Csm.. more ram rele? What needs ovr 8gb as it is? Lol

I was thinking a water.block for the kepler card i would pick.up.. but i am not all tjat into oc video.cards so idk if i would need it.
They dont make a waterblock for my 570hd i checked..

If i get a sound card wouldnt it be wasted on my pos antec speakers lol

Wish kepler supported 3 monitors i wouldnt mind another

In my opinion, you should get the following now that I understand it better:
1) Rosewill HIVE 750W
2) Sennheiser RS120 wireless, they can do some audio too
3) Another 570 for SLI, there's no reason to go Kepler if you can do SLI... but it may give you issues. I prefer single card personally...
Just my thoughts.

You wouldn't notice a HUGE difference with a sound card and those crappy speakers, however it will be noticeable. I would recommend you get new sound card + speakers/headphones, not either or. You could get more RAM just because the prices are so cheap right now, you can get a great deal, rather than paying a premium when you actually need i later. It seems the best answer for you would to:

1. Upgrade your psu to one that has more power/is more efficient and has a good warranty.
2. Save it for a waterblock for your new Kepler card, or put it towards the purchase of said card. You should only have to wait a couple months.

I agree the psu is needed since this once a cheap pos..

I would like wireless after this head set having a.10 foot long cable..

I dont want.to turn this into rumor mill but.if the 580 is 15% better a 570 and the 7xxx series is 15% better than the 580 and the new kepler will be 15% higher than those.. then i dont see why spending another 200-300 on a single gpu wouldnt be better than spending 300 on sli when the gain would be.even.close to just getting a new card
post #18 of 32
The only advantage is not needing to wait. Single card is the best solution for the broader spectrum of gamers out there, I believe csm even said that he even prefers one card over sli.

Yeah, wireless headsets are good. I don't like wired ones at all, in fact I'll be selling all my headsets and buying a wireless one tongue.gif
