mad.gif ok I just wanted to get opinons on here to see if my frustration is valid and to see if other agree. So i swung by tiger direct and picked up a phenom II socket am3(cpu) to play with. I got home put it in the mobo and every thing started up fine. Did some things for a couple of hours web surfing what not nothing taxing by any means, and i had no problems. I left a program downloading and came back after a few hours the computer was off. Turned the power button on hdd started up psu started up but no monitor connection. turned it off checked the socket seating, reset the cooler, checked all the cables. still the same problem. well then tested another phenom cpu i have everything worked fine.
*** I have only had this for less than 10 hours.

that being said since its under 30 days will I have a problem returning this. I think this is the first time I have ever bought a deadish cpu.

thanks.mad.gifmad.gif

CPU's die dude. not a big deal. As long as your motherboard is compatible, there really is no issue.

Just return it and get a working one. Even CPU's are DOA sometimes.

I'd be upset too. It's going to cost you time and gas to get it exchanged. I have to rma my athlon 2. i've had it a year now, but it started dying back in june or july. but i thought it was something i'd been doing.
