Can't get a stable 4.8Ghz overclock - I5 2500k

Thread Starter
I just can't, I tried everything. I even pumped out a Vcore of 1.485V and my CPU still BIOS's after 4 seconds of Intel Burn Test. I don't know how to get this thing stable at 4.8, do I just have a crap chip or something? Any suggestions?

First off, don't bump a thread after only 30 minutes. Most members are sleeping, lol.

Some chips just need more volts, you might have an average chip.

And are you running three ram dimms?! blinksmiley.gif

Not much more to say than this.
Try more voltage?

Update your rig then might be able to help more...

but regardless, a majority of the 2500k need a decent amount of volts to get stable at 4.6-5 and that being said, even then, a lot just wont work.
