Not when you have an extra slot between them on your motherboard biggrin.gif

Thread Starter
Are you running any AA? I'm hoping with a little more juice and a healthy OC i can run x4 post AA.

I'd wait to see what happens with Kepler and save your money for now for the price drops.

You bought 2 card with 1.2GB of Vram, no wonder why it was like hell.
You need 1.5gb+ for fluent gameplay.

GTX 560 Ti's 2GB >>> SLI GTX 570 1.2Gb in BF3

Two 570's do not = a 590. Two 570's will outperform a 590. I can crank out a 3dmark11 score over 11,000 with my two 570's. While a 590 gets around 8,500 - 9,000. So if 2x 480's is about the same as two 570's, then the two 480's would definitely outperform a 7970.

well my 7970 can in, and i can max it out, 3gb of vram, oh yeah!!!
so 1 cardis better than one!!!!

That's true biggrin.gif BF3 is definitely a memory hog, that's why I like the 2.5GB of memory on my 570's thumb.gif

but in sli it still 2.5gb, and 7970 is 3gb, you save cash with one card, and heat and power, sell those and pick up a 7970, or when the 7970 6gb comes out.

Yes but I bought my 570's way before a 7970 was even available, and still at the moment, the 570's do outperform a single 7970. And yea I know, vram doesn't stack when running SLI, but still, BF3 maxes out around 1600MB and Crysis maxes out around 1800MB, so the 2.5GB is a decent buffer. biggrin.gif But I wasn't even bringing up a 7970 in that post, I was just referencing how he was commenting on the guy who was complaining about 570's not doing well in BF3, and I agreed with him about the need for more memory.
