Yeah.. I agree on that, there's nothing else that's brown and could do that, scary stuff, I hope it doesn't happen to my rig. You see, its probably cause when you moved the cause, the little bugger panicked, ran into something and got slaughtered into the already moving deathtrap.

Good point. The computer clicked off the instant the headphone jack tapped the computer case. I remember that specifically because I considered for a second, "Was there just a static shock?" But I was looking right at the jack and didn't see one, and if there was one significant enough to click the computer into a restart, it most likely would have killed the comp for good. My wife and I talked about this for a bit too. Of course she refuses to believe it was a cockroach because that would put blame on her beloved sister and clear the fault from her worthless husband.. tongue.gif

Just checked the temps. CPU and GPU are both almost identical under load than they were previously. i used prime95 to test the CPU, it got to 69 degrees, and Skyrim for the GPU, it got to 72 again.

how much fluid are we talking about here. that would have to be a huge roach to leave any thing behind you would see as fluid.
Maybe a little mouse got cut bad and made it out of there? headscratch.gif
Depending on how thick said fluid was brown would be consistent with heated/old blood.

I'll take a stab at describing the fluid.. It was a light brown and had the consistency of maybe whole milk, definitely far thinner than syrup. there was enough to leave one drop on the mobo. On the underside of the PSU's cover, there was a "splash" and it ran towards the wiring, making the wires moist but not wet. Just got on my hands a little bit when I was messing with them. Then in the corner of the PSU there was about one drop's worth of fluid, but didn't drip. There was also some on the heatsink. Two little runs of fluid. Hard to describe but i hope that helps paint a mental picture for you.

Also the amount of smoke could provide a clue. If all the steam was to come out at once and say we captured it, it would probably fill a standard V-day's baloon.

Wish I would have taken pictures!

I guess if I were to try and guess how much measured fluid there was, I'd put it in the 1-2 mL range.

My next purchase, some dust filter fabric, so i can block all the holes in my case. We don't have roaches and i kill everything that move in my bedroom, but I ain't having sommit like that happen to my comp. Just nasty.
