Thread Starter
I'm looking to buy a desktop replacement laptop and have pretty much decided on the subject laptop (unless someone has a much better deal). I'd like to know which hardware I should get as I will be buying from Xoticpc.com.

I will definitely be gaming on this laptop and plan on keeping it for at least 3-5 years. I plan on playing games such as CS:S, SC2, Diablo 3 and possibly WoW.

My limit is $2,000 but would rather try to stay around the $1500 mark.

I will be using Win7, current mouse, and will be installing my current SSD into the laptop.

My questions are:

1. Which CPU?

i7-2670QM
2760QM (+$160)
2860QM (+$350)

2. Which RAM option?

8GB - DDR3 1333MHz Dual Channel Memory (2 SODIMMS)
8GB - DDR3 1600MHz Dual Channel Memory (2 SODIMMS) ( + $40 )
12GB - DDR3 1333MHz Dual Channel Memory (3 SODIMMS) ( + $45 )
16GB - DDR3 1333MHz Dual Channel Memory (4 SODIMMS) ( + $90 )
12GB - DDR3 1600MHz Dual Channel Memory (3 SODIMMS) ( + $90 )
8GB - DDR3 1866MHz Dual Channel Memory (2 SODIMMS) ( + $120 )
16GB - DDR3 1600MHz Dual Channel Memory (4 SODIMMS) ( + $140 )

With the configuration I currently have (no CPU/RAM upgrades), it will cost about $1500.

Basically wondering you would suggest any of the above upgrades, or if you think they won't offer much more performance per dollar value.
