HD 6570 OCed (core or memory)

Stock clocks: (DDR3 version)
core: 650 mhz
Memory: 900 mhz

current clocks:
core: 850 mhz
Memory: 1000 mhz

Temp is around 55°c at full load because i've got a passive cooler (card is actually passively cooled as default) but then i stuck a 3500rmp fan on top of cooler so it's pretty much cooled...

I can probably go more on core clock since i've been playing witcher 2 and it had shown no sign of artifacts....my question is which one would be more effective to increase for a good fps increase (core or memory)...

lol no one has OCed a mid end card before? no advice for me at all?

I would say for the most part that people who buy 6570s are using them for a media machine, or for light-duty tasks, and are not primarily concerned with gaming with a lower-end card like that, so there is not much reason to overclock.

A good general rule of thumb for OC'ing cards is to OC the core as much as you can, then add as much memory OC on top of that as you can without making it crash.

A core OC is much more effective than a memory OC. However, they're typically not mutually exclusive as you can see by the fact that you've OC'd both of them already (although on Fermi cards sometimes a high clock on one will compromise your ability to OC the other somewhat ... but I doubt a 6570 would be like that.)

Also, the higher you OC the core, the more benefit you'll see from OC'ing the memory as well. The core and memory work together, you see?
