water cooling?

Thread Starter
can water cooling lower me temps lower than room temp
is it quieter that air cooling
is it worth it
is this "http://www.frozencpu.com/products/14182/ex-wat-181/XSPC_Rasa_750_RX240_Universal_CPU_Water_Cooling_Kit_w_RX240_Radiator_and_Free_Kill_Coil.html?tl=g30c83s137" a good starter kit
how should my system be looped
if i add alot of rads will it make a difference
i just want to know about every thing there is it know (excluding the coolant its self)

No you can't get below room temperatures using water Cooling alone - if the radiator was below room temperature it would take heat from the room to warm to room temperature. Sub ambient cooling needs chillers units, peltiers, dry ice or liquid nitrogen but you need to insulate the boards condensation becomes an issue.

In terms of noise, yes watercooling can be quieter than air cooling but it depends on the fans and pumps used.

You can't cool below ambient temperature with a standard watercooling set up. You can with something like a bong/evaporative but regardless.
It can be quieter than air cooling, you can also greatly improve on load temps.
Yeah that's a good kit to start with. I'd say it's worth it. but it's down to if you're happy with what you've got. It will improve load temps and reduce noise.
Loop it however you like with that kit, shorter runs of tubing are preferable but mostly cosmetic.
Adding more rads will mean you're able to dissipate more heat, however if you're already dissipating the entire heatload then it won't improve anything. For just a CPU loop an RX240 is ample.
I'd read the stickies and get a better feel for it before diving in just yet.

If you go for the kit I'd recommend 7/16" ID tubing. It's very snug on the barbs. Just make sure it's fully on.
