Network Card Help

Thread Starter
Alright, so my usb network card went down. I got a free one and now, this one is done too. It disconnects every couple of minutes. So i have decided to get a new pci network card. "

I have found this one here that is a great price. Could anyone tell me if this is decent for gaming and downloads. If not, could you link me to a better one? Thanks for your help.

Well if you really want a GAMING NIC you can go for this:

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16833189002&Tpk=killer%20nic

But really, that's all a gimmick. Any cheap ~$5 NIC should do the job just fine. But yea, the reliability/quality issue is what comes into play. Maybe a year or two ago I had to get a new NIC for my parents' PC and I just picked up Best Buy's cheap moniker Dynex brand. I think it was ~$10 or so and it has held up just fine.

Thanks! When i go off to college, i will get something like that. For now, i need a wireless card, and i found this. With 19 5 star reviews, i think i just found my card. I believe that would work with my computer perfectly.

It looks fine, and it has "perfect" reviews, can't go wrong.
