I want to kn0w the difference

Like you already said its hard to explain the difference in words but there are a few I could put into words...

First off, NO TEARING... If you play a really fast paced game that goes beyond 60 fps, without v sync and start throwing the mouse everywhere, the screen will start tearing... Not with a 120hz monitor, or much less noticeable

Then, everything is much more smooth and life like compared to 60hz... Especially dragging a window around or scrolling with the right browser is just more smooth...

To me it's a night and day difference over regular 60hz lcds. It is the kind of thing you have to witness yourself to believe. I always get in arguments with my friends who give me the line "the human eye cant see over 60 fps". You WILL notice the difference the second you log into windows and move the mouse cursor around, and after that, you will never go back to 60hz again. It really is THAT noticiable. The only problem is, now you need computers that can push 120fps at a minimum 100% of the time to reap the benifits. Enjoy. smile.gif

Personally I have to say, the upgrade is worth it. Three weeks ago I went from a 22' Apple HD Cinema Display to Samsung 27' S27A750D. I love my new monitor. Playing BF3 is a lot smoother. If you decide to look into this monitor, you need to be running an AMD card that supports display port to get a true 120mhz

when you see a 120hz screen for the first time, its like.... its almost like passive 3D, things just move mor fluidly, and you get a really strange eye effect that lasts the first few weeks until you get used to 120hz, then the 3D effect is gone, but then you cant stand 60hz monitors because it looks choppy like poop ... that was my experience after i got a 52" Sharp Quattron LED TV

the signal speed difference is 8 milliseconds, 30ms is around the place you start feeling the difference. It does add up though, from your mouse to internals to your internet connection, could actually make a difference! probably not though.

It looks like water smooth to me. I think I would like a 120hz moniter if I used one for awhile but from the couple I've seen it actually looks odd to me. Again though this is probabally just because I'm not used to it. Best way I can describe it though is that it looks like the image is like literally fluid. It's cool you'll be happy I'm sure.

It's night and day. I can't even browse windows at 60hz anymore without getting a headache. The mouse looks like it's struggling to get across the screen at 60hz.
In progress.

1 Thing people tend to forget is that its already very hard to maintain 60fps vs 120fps. So the smoothness when it matter its achieved with crazy GPU setup. So basically if you want True 120Hz with games like BF3 you need at leas HD 7970 CF. Try to keep that up with every game and you would have to upgrade GPU every 6 months. Its like saying this car can do 200 mph if it has a engine to power it. Most people stick to 110 mph cars because they are going to be limited by the engine.
