I had a problem with my computer which would not allow F@H to begin folding a new WU. Since I had recently replaced my memory I thought it was a RAM issue. It turns out that it was because of a bad WU. I deleted my work folder and started again. I also changed my machine ID.

I have not received credit for the last 5 WU's I folded. I probably deleted the wrong file and erased the username, acct, or passkey configuration, although it didn't ask for a new one. Does anyone know how to fix this or should I just delete it and reinstall it? If I send my log to Stanford can I receive credit for those WU's?

Yep you have probably deleted the passkey and you have not been folding with a passkey therefore collecting the bonus points under the usage of a passkey. You need to get that passkey again and fold on 10 WU's to get the bonus points. biggrin.gif

That doesn't make sense....

I would try to uninstall the F@H stanford program and then reinstall and go to configure to put in your username and password. Idk if you can get the points back from the work units you've completed but this should solve the problem from here on out.

What do you mean get the points back. The points or the WU's that have been completed have already be recorded and tallied up on foldings data base and you have the points on your account. So by deleting the work unit it won't deduct the points that you have already made. biggrin.gif

It should have shown the points if he had his username and passkey in there but if he accidentally deleted the config file then it will submit it as anonymous and not have a tracker on the wu. Once he sets up the config file he should be good tho.

Ok, I suppose the easiest way is to just delete the program and start again. I'll save the log file and perhaps I can get credit for those WU's. I still have my original passkey so I will use it again. Unless somebody had a better idea?
