No, a 2500K wont be a problem with any single card.

No, I'm not saying I'm upgrading. I'm buying the 2500k, I already knew you wouldn't see an increase performance from 2500k -> 2700k .

Crap, there was a deal yesterday where all the m4 were $1/gb including the 240gb. It looks like its expired now, so I might have to go with a small SSD and and ~200 - 300 gb HDD.

I can not say the performance but its really ahead of any previous videocard at its level herer's a link gpu hierarchy the 7970 is a league of its own, others might help you the performance difference with the 7950.

for storage here's get a mushkin chronos 120gb SSD ~ $145 and a WDC blue 500 GB hdd ~ $90, if you want only, otherwise still go for M4

2500k stock? If so, then I'm in for the 7970.

Don't get the K sku if you are gonna leave it at stock biggrin.gif

Its easy to overclock tho, get a 30$ Aftermarket Cooler (CM Hyper 212) and its easy 4.5 / 4.7Ghz thumb.gif

I'm actually at $1150, with a 2500k, 7970, ram, monitor, and mobo, but now I might have to downgrade to a 7950, so I can fit in a PSU and a HDD/SSD.

Ah, yeah I'm going to OC, later on. But thats exactly what I was going to get if I do OC.
For now, I'm quite a noob at OC'ing, so in the meanwhile, I will try to learn the basics.

I meant "upgrade" as in move up to something better in the build.

7950 is still a beast.

Also, only buy a Hyper 212+ (not the Evo, its the same thing but with a shiny fan for $10 more) if its $25 or less. Currenty its $35 on Newegg but you can find it cheaper elsewhere. But if you were going to buy it for $35, for example, you could buy something like this for $5 more. Hyper 212 is way over-recommended.

@Aazelion ~ your absolutely right WEI is not a good way to show its performance, its just a layman's term as I say, but the 2500K when OC its another level, I'v seen my firends OC there's and get a flat 7.9, and this cpu is really amazing.

Okay, so I need some recommendations for a 650-800w psu under 100. 6970, 7950, or 7970.

Also I forgot to mention, I want to be able to play bf3 on ultra, if not atleast on high.
