it has 6+2 phase and it's about the same price

OP, if i was you i would go with this board. I have it and its very good, you cant get a better board for 100 bucks. It will last too and if the new AMD CPUs support AM3 + you can just through it in and you are good to go.

performance wise it may have some pluses but, have fun stabbing your self in the brain it is gonna suck on desktop unless they pull some kind of amazing desktop gui improvement out of their bums, i have been playing with it some and listening in to other in IRC using it.

I bet my extreme 4 990fx would be just as good as a ROG board after all it has 8+2 phase. also why not just get a phenom 2 core instead of wait software optimizations bulldozer in fact screw BD all together they will have never chips out soon like pile driver.

Only thing I can say is read what everyones saying.

The bulldozer line is really bad, thus the reason they cost around 120-200$...
Even a good Phenom II cost more than that... And that says something.

I got rid of my 6100 and put the 1100T back in.... They are just so much better. Yeah they run a lot hotter than the BD's but they are also better performance wise.

The motherboard is very ****ty for the bulldozers and I did not look very far into it before buying.
If you want to run the BD line, make sure that you have atleast an 8-2 power phase. This board only has a 4-1, and that just doggs the FX junk even more.

Save your money, use what you have now then upgrade later, STARTING with the motherboard.

If your extremely tight for cash, keep the board, use a Phenom II, and get some cheap sata III SSD's and put them in Raid 0. Best performance boost for the cost.

A PC I built for my Dad had an ASRock Conroe1333/DVI and that still works after being used day in, day out (Since 2006).. Not a single problem.
I also purchased two ASRock P55 Pro's for work, they are constantly on and working hard for 20months now..

It's not like the old days of really bad/cheap motherboards.. We bought 50 ECS 754 boards at one of my previous jobs, out of those 50, 20 failed within 6 months. All with blown capacitors..
