I need to know - better to buy 2 smaler SSD and put in RAID0 or 1, but large ?

I came on here to post the same question. I notice everyone saying "Just get a bigger drive because the performance is almost equal." I would like to know which is better if price is equal. It seems raid 0 is the obvious choice since its faster (I don't care if I feel the difference), unless I'm missing something? Is it difficult to raid these or something?

Look at what mcg75 says again. It is not faster in the important place and you lose trim. Go for 1 newer bigger drive. Stay over 128 if you can also, there were some issues with smaller drives having lower speed if I recall correctly.

Ok thats the first disadvantage I've heard (losing trim.) As for the other performance increases in raid 0 how would anyone know if this increase would be irrelevant in say 6 months or a year from now? I don't see the point of it being in this benchmark if it is not used or even barely used.

That not completely true, Intel just released TRIM support for RAID .... that will be no longer a issue.
BETA RAID drivers from INTEL (RST 11.5.0.1149)
