very odd issue not sure what is causing it just started to happen all of a sudden. i can run occt, prime 95, fold and play games for hours/days and its stable but i just cant figure it out lol if i increase the fsb to 201 it goes to 3409.41? maybe my board is having mental issues? idk

heres some screen shots of the issue.

I don't understand the problem(s).

Are you saying that the math isn't adding up? Because it is.

3392+17=3409.

Are you saying that it should be 3400+17=4317?

Math would add up, but look at the HTT closely. We, as humans, round when talking about numbers, but the PC doesn't. Your HTT (ref clock) is not exactly 200mhz. It's 199.5.

All is right, your fine.

when i first got it about a month ago it was 2.8ghz even then oc'd it too 3.4ghz even and unlocked the 4th core then randomly one day it went down a few mhz all around..

was just kinda weird to me, i,ve seen it like 1mhz-.20mhz but never out of the 4 builds have i seen it go down by 5-10mhz constantly all over the place.

not really worried about it too much, was just wondering if anyone else out there has had anything similar happen to them. usually it stays sorta constant when you dont mess with the fsb right?

must be the cheapo Asrock M3A770DE got a good deal on it so cant complain just interesting and would like to no the knowledge behind it haha if there is any, could be just a fluke thing you know? or just very very accurate.

Did you update the BIOS in that time?

On my gigabyte board, different bios versions had slightly different math behind it. On my current one, the ref clk is at 200.6, always; but on previous revisions it was 200.3 and 200.1 respectively. If I downflash (can't now because the 960 won't work), it will once again show those numbers.

I'd write it off as poor programming, if anything.

Also, some of the softwares like AMD overdrive can misreport numbers. In my case, the ref clock is always 1 less than what overdrive reports.
