My specs are:
ASUS Sabertooth 990FX
AMD FX-4100
Corsair H-80 liquid-cooled
Corsair Vengeance DIMM 240-pin - 1600 MHz ( PC3-12800 ) (4x4GB=16GB RAM)
OCZ Modstream 850w
NZXT Phantom White
BFG Nvidia GTX260
Bios - AI Tweaker
OC Manual
AMD Turbo Core off
Multiplier@ 23
Bus@ 200
Vcore@ 1.481
CPU/NB V @ 1.26250
DRAM V @ 1.50625
RAM @ 1600
NB @ 2200
HT @ 2200
I'm wanting to see what this AMD FX4100 is capable of without popping it. What I have overclocked it to is 4.6GHz running extremely stable as cool as 30C. Since I have some room to play with until it's in danger, I'm curious what I can take it up to without hitting a voltage too high that can cause the "bulldozer" to pop. If I'm able to get it to 5Ghz stable I will be very satisfied, which I'm thinking is definitely possible since AMD created these Bulldozers to run very cool allowing the bus to be adjusted to a faster clock rate and still run stable. After doing some research on this forum, many have kept the Bus at it's default 200, and just up'd the multiplier (such as I did above). Now I think it's time to play with both, such as 230 with a 22multi?
Any thoughts or suggestions is greatly appreciated. I would also like to play with my Ram and Graphics card, but not really sure where to go with those two on settings.
Thank You,
Mako3
