so, I don't see what the big deal is...

When using the desktop in Windows 8 I feel like I've been placed in a sandbox and can't really get to anything easily without going through metro unless I place icons for every program I have on my desktop

That is a very valid point, without that start button, whoosh, it's just disgusting, I regress! biggrin.gif

If you actually was an admin, you would know that the GUI can be removed.

Personally I can "live with" the GUI, but it will take some people some time to make the transition...

Even if you aren't a computer administrator, or a computer tech, you may be forced to use Windows 8, so you should at least become comfortable with it, even if you don't like it.
