You should definitely (notice the lack of probably) read up on how RAM channels work. They are dependent on the memory controller, not the kit of you ram you threw money at.
x58 has absolutely no support for quad channel ram, you are not in quad channel, you are in dual channel. The closest x58 will get you is triple channel, which you're not utilising and you're losing performance because of it.
Don't believe me? Open up CPU-Z, click on the memory tab and right up in the top corner it will tell you you're in dual channel. If you say otherwise, you better be packing a screenshot, that includes an open mainboard tab.
