Yes, I'm using the system in my sig; my games run fine after the clean install not so much with the upgrade.

I may consider getting Win 8 today but unsure at the moment.
Which is better? Windows 8 or Windows 8 Pro?
I only browse the net, play games and don't listen to music cuz i can only hear in one ear.
I game A LOT.

I haven't done much gaming in Pro yet, but in the preview I didn't have any problems.

I'd suggest getting Pro, because of the upgrade offer (it's $15 for a recent OEM pc, $30 for the licence only or $60 for a licence with 32-bit and 64-bit DVDs for Pro). I suspect the standard Win8 will be sold at the normal price.

In a previous post you mentioned start8: I haven't tried Start8, but you can just use Classic shell. It has several themes, and it's free. You can also change the start button image if you don't like it. If you're comfortable with the keyboard, I'd also suggest getting Launchy.

OK just 2 questions for those of you running W8

1. Does BF3 run just as good as it did in W7

2. Can you make W8 look like W7 (Have a normal Desktop with my computer and recycle bin etc)
I might just wait and decide. I'd rather have a physical copy than a digital download. More secure.

Yes, see my screen shot above; I have Start8 (free 30 day trial, $5 after) which gives you a Start button/menu just like Win 7. That said more I play around with Metro more I'm liking it, I might just drop Start8 after I've learned Metro a bit better.

You can mount an ISO image to a DVD or Flash Drive with the Digital download, works just as a physical copy from Microsoft would.

Yeah I tried Metro for a month or so with the preview release could not stand it. I have no idea what microsoft was thinking when they made that. For a tablet I can see, for a desktop no way in hell. 99% of business will not upgrade to W8 because of that metro gui. Aw ok start8 that looks pretty cool. $5 is a good deal also. I may try this. Thanks....I'm just worried about performance in games like BF3. Right now it runs like a dream in W7 not so sure about W8
