I still think its Chrome's installer. Its not prompting for any elevated privileges or anything. For that reason im willing to bet the system doesn't recognize what it is. I am experiencing problems with XFire when installed. When i move my mouse to the side/corners of my desktop to activate Metro /Setting my PC becomes unresponsive for a few seconds (sometimes 10 seconds or more). Even after uninstalling XFire the problem persisted and only after a Restore was all fixed. So all take note

If you use Chromium, it sets itself as default browser, so I assume it will come to chrome soon.

Anyone know how to change the resolution? I'm running in VirtualBox, installed guest additions, installed drivers (although I can't find catalyst control center), but I can't change the resolution from the lowest option. Its just greyed out.

I really wanted to try dual screen, however that totally spaced out in virtual box mad.gif It was like it didn't know if it wanted desktop or metro, and switched between them every milisecond.

Here are some leaked screens from a leaked copy of Windows 8 Preview Release (build 8400). Seems the removal of Aero was just another lie. The controls are looking much sexier now (back/forward buttons etc).

Hey guys, how much space do you think i should allocate a partition to for the release preview to use as a main OS, im not sure...I currently have 420gb free space. I was thinking 60gb? Might add a few games and stuff...so thinking.gif

Edit: If i need more can i expand the partition?

60 GB should probably be the minimum you consider.  I have 120 GB SSD's in most of my rigs and that's enough for Windows plus 5 to 6 newer games before I have to worry about space.

It's been almost 24 hours since RP came out, what does everyone think of it so far?

Personally, I'm loving it even more then the CP with the added touch of metro to the desktop UI so that it does feel more uniform throughout the entire GUI. On top of that, the start menu and charms panel being accessible on every monitor/taskbar available is absolutely fantastic. Oh I also get a bit better boot times now that I actually took the time to record the boot times I get in each preview.
