Thanks kindly :-) Yeah, I like it much better than core temp and other similar programs, it's nice and clear and the gadget is good for 'at a glance'.

I just noticed one thing,..
I got a laptop with Windows 7 installed on it, and I got a spare 2.5 inch 500Gb drive which I used to install Windows 8 when I got a retail key on my desktop.
Well I brought it with me for the week end cause it had stuff in it I needed to access... I switch the HDD's and was going to boot up Linux on a USB drive to get the files I need off of the HDD to a USB drive when I wondered...
Windows XP, Vista and 7 all gave the typical BSOD but I never saw the Windows 8 BSOD. I wanna see it... so I let it boot...
To my surprise it booted fine and installed all the drivers for my laptop and I am now writting this on it.
Probably some1 already found this but I was truly amazed because I didn't know tongue.gif

I don't think many have encountered a BSOD on Windows 8. Yes, as soon as I installed Windows 8 on my desktop it found and installed all the drivers (with an exception to the Graphics Drivers), and everything worked as if it was fresh out of the box from a manufacturer.

What I meant is that I had Windows 8 with all the drivers from my desktop load(sig rig)ed up into it and I am now using the same HDD with the same SO without wiping or reinstalling anything on my Intel laptop.

My Task Manager reports 6,90 GHz on my 2500K biggrin.gif

Kinda funny, as Im running stock with the default 3,7 turbo.

I had a similar experience with CP. After upgrading my motherboard and CPU, Wnidows 7 refused to boot but 8 simply went to the post install configuration process and reconfigured everything without a clean install. I haven't tried it with the full version yet.

Windows 8 finally gave me a reason to start using the macro keys on my G510 for something other than voice chat! lol. I still kinda wish my G15 worked but oh well... at least the Windows 8 macros work while I have the Windows key disabled so I don't have to go flipping back and forth. Just a random thing biggrin.gif
