They do, I just need to wait for it. I wish there was an option for classic shell by default.

Some of the features are neat, I gotta admit the menus and everything are nicer. But worth switching? Not quite yet.

I do have one issue with 8. It seems they removed the priority in the task manager, which is a pain for me. Is this another one of those features that "nobody ever used"?

Got Windows 8 Pro. At first I loved it. Now, I am starting to hate it more and more.

Can't run any steam games and having issues with Origin as well.

Dead space ran fine, but dead space 2 would not run for nothing. Luckily, I just had to set the exe to windows 7 compatibility.

I have since beat DS2 and want to finally play Bioshock 2. HAHAHAHAHA! That is a joke. Keep getting some lame securom error. None of the fixes online work. Tried it on Win 7 at a friends house and no problem.

Also, my windows index seems really low for my hardware.

Unless something changed between final version and the trial version.

Now, my sound card(soundblaster recon 3d) just stopped working out of the blue.

Really starting to consider going back to win7 until they fix this garbage........mad.gif

Try re-install the games, steam and origin. If it doesn't work, win 8 also. That's not a prob from windows. That games should open.

I don't have this OS yet but i do have plans to upgrade to Win 8 but would LOVE it if everyone who currently owns this on a DESKTOP would please list all the games it does work?

Starting with BF3 and more.
It should work fine with all games. I didn't have a single issue running Dead Space 2 like the above person did, for example. And I didn't have an issue with Origin as well so those are just user specific issues. But per your request, here's a list of the games I'm able to play just fine (plus Mass Effect 3 and Battlefield 3). I haven't gotten around to reinstalling all my library yet since the switch, but I'm pretty sure there won't be an issue with them either.

These games work fine in Windows 8. Do remember to re-install Steam and Origin before attempting to play after the OS Upgrade.
