Best Wireless Card For Gaming

Thread Starter
Hey guys, my generic wireless card that I pulled from an old parts machine is starting to die on me, and I do a lot of gaming so I need to upgrade.

I have been looking at this one - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16833124342&nm_mc=AFC-C8Junction&cm_mmc=AFC-C8Junction-_-RSSDailyDeals-_-na-_-na&AID=10521304&PID=4003003&SID=cuf3xb6pg0o8

Is this the best card for the price? I really dont know what to look for when it comes to cards, so all help is greatly appreciated.

I tried that WiFi adapter before...didn't like it for what I paid for. You have a Dual-band router, that you actually use??

I personally run an Asus PCIe x1 n10 WiFi card. Then again, I dont use a dual-band router. Heard some good things about the Rosewill WiFi x1 adapter. Do you need a PCI card only? Or can you use PCIe slot?

EDIT: What kind of router?

Is the router you're using a D90-327w? I have the same router and I'm using this for my wireless setup. It's not the best thing in the world but it does what I need it to do. redface.gif

I am starting to wonder if the problem lies with my router, and I think buying a new router might solve the problem.

I am looking at the NetGear WNDR3700

NetGear WNDR3700 is a nice wireless router smile.gif some others to consider are
Asus RT-N56U

or the linksys E4200v2 which i sware by as i have one..

for each of these to get the most out of wireless for your rig/s look for dual band ( operate in the 2.4 and 5 GHz band) 300Mbps wireless adapters.. thumb.gif

How about a usb adapter? I'm using asus usb-n10. Just plug it in the mobo io at the back and forget about it. You can even use a usb extension for a geater reception if your router is too far away.
