If you are going to be gaming at all this is a better deal: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16834246328

I assume it's been added just recently, because I cant find ANY product reviews on this laptop, from newegg, google... anywhere.

If It's just been added, I doubt that It will disappear quickly (no guarantees) so you might consider waiting until you can find a bit of feedback about the model, unless you trust the Asus brand name.

I'm assuming that it's specifications meet your needs.

My suggestion, But I'm not an expert at making recommendations without any feedback to go through, normally after a good sample of comments (good and bad) you can see if an item is of quality, and doesn't have any quirks.

But It has a much weaker Processor.
I don't know where Intel's graphics stand, But the OP's has an intel integrated, and the one you posted has an ATI.

It would still perform better for gaming purposes since it has a mid-range notebook GPU.

For example: Athlon II x4 + HD 6870 > 2600k + IGP

For gaming purposes only. Obviously the 2600k is a much, much faster CPU though.

I recommend you avoid a laptop with Intel's current integrated graphics,
especially if you're a gamer.

This would do great for cheap.
I understand the APU can OC with K10STAT.
And the GPU is much better than what Intel now has.

This next one is a pretty sweet choice, as well.
Very modern hardware.

This last one is kind of for fun.
If you have the money, by all means it is well worth it.
You could consider this a great deal,
with an awesome quad Sandy Bridge and dedicated DDR5 GPU. thumb.gif

Will you need decent battery life as well since it is for college? I assume you do, so this is a good option: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16834215279

I had the same laptop but with the dedicated GPU included (it could be turned off to use the IGP though) and I got 8-9 hours of battery life when typing in a document and surfing the web.

Hmm that is nice but idk if it is too high in price I was looking for 650 or less to be honest.

Should I look into laptop with 4 gb of ram and upgrade it to 6 later down the road or is it not worth doing that?
