To Identify Spam and How To Flag it for Removal
1) check the date of the OP and the one above the spam bot, in most cases they are bumping old posts.
2) look for giberierish names like eg "vbceiuvgbeivb" though some are people and may use something more readable.
3) the post will genrally contain part of or all of the text from another post in the thread.
4) instead of a image you will see something like g.gif in the post.
once you identify it, report it to the Mods by using the red flag as shown in the image and follow this
Do not PM the Mods about it!

1) highlight "spam" in the first dropdown named Reason
2) Highlight "critcal" in the second dropdown named Severity
3) check "mark as held"* if you are sure it is Spam, Do not check if unsure, just flag it
4) type a reason such as "Possible spam" in the textarea named Reason.
* See pages 7 and 8 for requirements about the "Mark as Held" function.

Notes
- not all spam is Bots, some are actual people, never the less they still should be reported.
- Spam is starting their own threads
- If you see an older post bumped by what could be spam, make sure it is not spam before quotingt it or replying.. if so report it and move on.
