If you can remember the Sony’s last handheld; the PSP, you’ll be able to remember how it was severely exploited. This wasn’t a completely bad thing, for one it increased hardware sales but at the same time impacted software sales. However, lightning looks like it is about to strike twice with the possibility of running home-made (homebrew) applications through the upcoming PlayStation Vita system.

Getting one now.

Source?

Here's some a links for more info, but it doesn't seem to be the same as the OP's:

http://psvitacfw.com/vhbl-to-be-released-next-week

http://psvitacfw.com/vhbl-game-reveal

Quote:
VHBL To be Released Next Week , that is according to the Developer who has stated that the PS Vita HBL will be released within a few days after the Game that is needed to run VHBL is announced to the PS Vita Homebrew Community.

March 2nd was the announcement date. So the Vita HBL isn't out yet, and

Sony has removed the game from their PSN Store in certain region .

So im not sure if it will even work for most people once its out.

Wow, you'd think they would secure it better this time. They could have just as easy put regular SD cards in then. The Sony memory cards don''t seem to have much impact.

Sony goal was profiting from useless proprietary memory cards, not stopping piracy.

Yeah, and they'd be completely stupid to try. It'll sell better this way.
