No, thats not bad at all. Anything under 1.5 volts to get to 5Ghz is good thumb.gif

Sheeeit - Blue screen after 10 minutes. Had to clock down to 4.5Ghz. Any idea what the reason could be? Not enough voltage?

Is that Crysis 1 your benching? or Crysis 2?
Any AA with Crysis?

EDIT:
Not that i consider Furmark to be anything of a benchmark really, but my score is bellow, single GTX480.
Perhaps you can borrow a friends PSU and see if you get better results? its possible its a power thing.

So 1.5V would be fine for a 24/7OC at 5Ghz?

It's crysis 1 with full AA.

1.5v is a lil uncomfortable for me 24/7 on air. I would get a better psu before pushing it. A fried psu can take some things with it.

Looks like I'm getting a new PSU then! Does this seem suitable? - http://www.ebuyer.com/219542-xenta-800w-psu-13-5cm-fan-kk9999-800p

or - http://www.ebuyer.com/235519-ocz-750w-fatal1ty-series-semi-modular-psu-ocz750fty-un

Any suggestions? On a tight budget.

That first one seems like a no name, generally a bad idea with power supplies (they generally won't put out steady wattage to what they are rated for). OCZ makes good SSDs but I have no clue on their power supplies but at least its a recognizable brand. TBH though if you are planning on OCing both your CPU and GPU I would possibly go as high as a 900w and a brand that actually has 80+ gold or 80+ platinum ratings. They are a bit pricey so you might have to live with running stock on your existing PSU till you can grab a good one. A high quality PSU is probably the single most important investment when building a computer because a crappy one can fry the rest of your components given the chance while a high quality will keep your machine running smoothly with OCs for years (with OFC proper cooling).

About what I'd expect based on my own benches.
CFX/SLI will never scale as good as benchmarks indicate.
Crysis scales better in dx10 by the way, but you're still looking at a CPU limit.

There's a reason a lot of people are swapping out their 6900 CFX for a single 7970 rolleyes.gif
