Why would it matter? Unless you mean having an actual camera watching you, then that isn't the same at all as your searches.

The days of "Secretly" Doing things are over, most ISPs already are tracking where you go to, proxies will not save you...
I suppose you could move to countries where they have Stellar Internet and no tracking... That's an option.

Or you make your own modem and program it to use a 3rd party DNS. You know I pay for my internet like most good boys and girls but you still CAN connect to high speed internet without the use of an ISP. I just don't do it because its a pain in the rear. I also don't know if its legal to do that anymore.

You know I was wondering about that, I know one guy got nailed for piggybacking on Time Warner's Broadband, he was faking the ip table to pretend he was a paying customer, etc... They are going to plaster this guy cause he was selling the box to clients... (doh!)

All that aside though, do you remember when they shut off the internet in those middle eastern countries?

I remember some English chap was showing people how to get the internet, using a makeshift Antenna, man I would love to learn how to do that!

I did find this after some digging:

How-To: Build a WiFi biquad dish antenna

But I dont' have the first clue what a Biquad Dish Antenna is... lol!

This company offers a Point To Point Solutions, which seems pretty cool, but that would probably be a closed network, or intranet or something.

This is a very interesting video!

What happens if a truck drives over it? Does it break?

I'm actually surprised the US hasn't made the move to expand fibre to the entire country... in Australia that's what we're doing now, Fibre To The Premises (or FTTP) for nearly the entire country... the most remote of towns and such will have access to satellite internet I believe...

excellent observation good sir. I am glad people are pointing out the little flaws about the fiber rollup tube distribution system.

At least installation is quick, just roll it across the lawn to your house. thumb.gif

Hurry the **** up, Google. It's a sad state of affairs when I can only get a 6mb connection for $60 a month in a pretty big town. This is supposed to be OMGZ AMERIKA #1 IN DA WORLD AT EVERYTHING not LOL SORRY BUT YOUTUBE IS BUFFERING AGAIN.

Seems like a redundant question considering how many people (like myself) are on the internet the entire time we're on the pooper.
