[VR-Zone] Detailed hands on pictures of Gigabyte's G1.Sniper 3 - Page 2

Ugly lime green, are you serious?

Black / Blue / Red are cool...

Yellow / Green / Brown (any variations) are just YUK!

If there were new colors to be introduced, Forest Green (dark) would be nice, even Blood Red, Midnight Blue, I could even deal with like Florescent Yellow, possibly some lady colors like Lavender etc, and anything but Lime Green, yuk!

Cyan, Teal, or Turquoise even would be far better than this!

That's pretty much it for now; we'll go into some of the other new Gigabyte features in a separate article about some of the other boards. We should mention that Gigabyte has kitted out the G1.Sniper 3 with the same digital PWM controllers as it uses on the X79 series and there's the SATA type power connector at the front of the PCB for extra power to the PCI Express slots. For the rest, you'll have to wait until Intel allows for more detailed reviews which means that you'll have to wait until sometime in April according to the leaked launch schedule, unless something changes again.

That is everything I needed... this board looks promising... really makes me change my mind yet again on X79 vs Z77 redface.gif

And what is this crap about people using KillerNIC being called cheaters? LOL

ya you can not run 4 NV cards on this board... but you could run 4 ATI cards rolleyes.gif

Lower ping... faster...must be cheating

And the pci-e spacing is horrible.

read the article lol

not a wire... but a shield for that set of chips

PCI-E spacing? why it can fit 4 cards like any other board can... what is wrong?

vga is for integrated gfx
pci-e spacing is perfect if you want to run multiple cards, especially 3 way SLI or triple/quad cfx. Pretty much all really high end boards / benching boards have their slots like that.

No idea about that strange metal wire/plate thing next to the int. sound.

Due to some controversy over the Killer NICs, Gigabyte has added a second network controller – this time from Intel – to allow competitive gamers to use a standard network controller to avoid being called cheaters
What in the hell? Apparently now owning hardware makes you a cheater?

Personally, I love how people think hardware (past a point) will make them a better player.

It's a nice luxury, but the majority of people really need to face the fact that they are terrible and will never improve. The number of gamers that think they are good at the games they play is hilarious.

BTW this is the new killer NIC, not the e2200, its teh new e2201 i believe, it is more integrated.

New Audio chipset too, cord3D.

The metal is a EMI shield.

This looks god though, beter than gun. I think true color doesnt' come through b/c of picture quality.
