Socket 775. It lasted for a few years compared to a lot of other sockets.

Socket 5/7, one of the longest lived consumer sockets and the last socket that supported all major x86 competitors.

I'd have to say socket 775, It lasted from 2004 to 2009, everything from Pentium 4s to Core 2 Quads ran on it. LGA 1366 was pretty good as well but didn't embrace such a wide variety of processors. I think socket 603/604 lasted even longer, from the Foster Pentium 4 to hexacore Dunnington... like 8 or 9 years?

Worst socket ever? 423 biggrin.gif Used for one generation of a chip that sucked anyway then abandoned because it couldn't supply enough power.
