unless your room/ambient temp is "at" or "less" than 16C = 60F your temp monitoring software isn't reading correctly. So if your PC is in a meat locker its a little hard to believe when cooling with air. Same goes for watercooling.
Air cooling can't cool below ambient temp. Try different software. My board was telling me once that mine was at 18C. It's dangerous when you are getting readings like that. I've heard of a lot of ABIT's having temp sensor problems. I know on my board the sensor reads a little high for most people. They try to fix it with every new BIOS, I think they finally got it right.

Thats a temp prob misread. YOU SIMPLY CANT run below ambient temps with typical air cooling. I would try using Speedfan
post #5 of 12
He isn't running below ambient, his system is at 16'c and so is his CPU so he is running at Ambient not below.

Great temps btw

That's not ambient, unless his room is really cold.
16 degrees Celsius = 60.8 degrees Fahrenheit
Even then, air cooling will never get you at or below ambient.

All three of those temps are probably wrong.

Flash the cmos. Fixed my temp reading on an Abit. They have really sketchy temp sensors, mine used to mess around if i touched the motherboard.

I was getting 4* for a while though

Even the best coolers out there still run 9-13C above ambient temp at load. If you do the math your ambient temp has to be at least 7C thats 44F. Either your not telling us something or your bs'in. It is physically impossible run your cpu at the same temp as your room at load on just on air. We all know this is a fact unless you chill your cpu. Either way I doubt you sit in a frigid 44F room with you PC.

show us some speedfan
