Modern Day "Red Alert 2" and "Rise of Nations" - Page 2

Yeah, I played Making History II and Civilization V..... didn't like either. I really dislike turn based games. lol.

World in Conflict was alright, turns out I have already played it before some time back. Nothing special though.

Anyone else have suggestions?

I wish games like ROH and C&C Generals were still being made mad.gif

Real time > turn based... turn based games just aren't as intense

while not a perfect match, Europa Universalis III fits much of what you seek. It is real-time and allows you to progress through time.

Does it run any better than Hearts of Iron III? That's the last Paradox game I bought and I think they just gave up patching it, it's still excruciatingly slow on my system. Plus HOI3 came out in what... 2010? It's very CPU intensive yet runs on a single core.

The new Command & Conquer: Generals will be coming out soon. I miss it. I remember how it's badly coded in any system and it lags.

I agree. Im also looking for some new RTS game (that's actually good). I started Playing Supreme Commander again, and its OK, but its just not as good as Rise of Nations. Then when I play rise of nations, its just not "fresh" anymore. I've played thousands of rounds of that thing.

I too feel I'd like another great RTS to pop up. Mind you, I really like Supreme Commander 2, but the classic C&C games were awesome. C&C Generals 2 uses the Frostbite 2 engine (BF3's engine), which should prove interesting and enjoyable..
