OCZ Octane 512GB

Thread Starter
I just pulled the trigger on 12 Octane 512GB SSDs and an LSI 9280 24i4e, and now after reading online Im growing concerned with the Octane reviews I found.

Did I make a mistake? If I did what would have been a better drive, the Samsung or the crucial?

Remember Im not willing to sacrifice sapce, min need is 512GBs, again don't bring up cost, I lack concern with that tongue.gif

I'd cancel or refuse shipping. At 512GB, I'd go with the Samsung 830.

The intel controller uses the same LSI chip and is $200 cheaper -- not that cost is any object. You might get better support from intel, but I could be wrong.

Im hoping to see the 1TB SSDs :)

I did have two tongue.gif One is filled by a recon3d, and the other an LSI 9280 24i4e

My understanding is that the 9280 is one of the best controller on the market for SSDs
