Just find an i3, mobo, ram, and a 5770, this should hold you over for the price you'd like to stick with.

No HD 7750 recommendations?  Seriously!?  At $110 it is a price performance KING, outperforming the 6770 and GTX 550 Ti for a lower price and lower power consumption that does NOT NEED A PCI-E 6-pin cable.

$600 easily gets you a PC with ~$100 CPU (i.e. i3, FX-4100, 960T) and a 6870 and a 1TB HDD. New parts. It's ridiculous to claim that that HUGE budget won't get you a good gaming PC.$

$300? Hardly a crunch:

AMD FX-4100 + ASUS M5A78L-M LX PLUS - $160 shipped [Newegg]

2x2GB Samsung DDR3-1600 - $20.49 shipped [Superbiiz - see link]

ATI Radeon HD 4850 512MB GDDR3 New - $46.80 shipped after promo GEEKBERT [Geeks]

Seagate 7200.12 500GB 7200RPM HDD - $76 shipped [NCIX]

$303.29 shipped

All parts are new
