SteelSeries Sensei - cursor jumps down constantly if SS Engine disabled

Strange things happen with my SteelSeries Sensei.
If I disable SS Engine from auto loading at startup (via msconfig.exe) so that nothing is loaded into RAM and running in the background (eats about 115MB here), then my cursor jumps constantly down around 200 pixels everytime I click a side button that is assigned to "Page Up" or "Page Down". Happens also with custom actions, for example the "Home" or "End" keys assigned to a side button.

To recreate the behavior:
- Save a profile with for example "Page Up" assigned to a side button.
- Load saved profile to on board memory.
- Disable SS Engine from auto loading at startup via msconfig.exe and reboot.
Voila -> click on the button and the cursor jumps down ~200 pixels every time you click! *VERYODD*

This does not happen if you completely uninstall SS Engine from your system, but then, you always have to install and uninstall - just to change a button assignment.. also with every software installation the firmware gets updated even if the latest firmware is already on board.

Anyone have experienced the same or have a workaround for this behavior?

(Tested with SS Engine latest version and latest firmware on Win7 64)

Yes!!!!!! this happens to me sometimes and its quite annoying. Sometimes its because the profile your loading onto the mouse doesnt save correctly or something. At least thats what SS told me... After a few trials of trying to drag a profile to the mouse and saving and reboot it finally seems to not be doing it for me at the time being.

It was very odd indeed. idk why. I have my right buttons set to disabled, but they still did that stupid thing.

I just disabled the pagedown button in the SS engine and then killed the SS drivers in task manager. If you unplug the mouse, you have to do it again but if you don't unplug it then the page down jump wont happen anymore even after multiple reboots. My SS engine doesn't load up at boot, I'm not sure why yours does.

Wow, I found this thread by luck. I have the same issue.

And, fixed soon?

It's now May 9th and the issue still isn't fixed.

Not only that, but there's another issue with the mouse in which it makes the cursor jump all the way to some side of the screen in certain scenarios (so far only in 2 MMORPGs I've played). It's uncommon, but it happens enough to complain about. It reminds me of the really old optical mice and their terrible sensors which made gaming troublesome due to the random shoots to the edge of the screen. Can't find any information about this.
