2500K Factory-OCed?

Hi
I just bought a new 2500k rig. Currently I am on the stock cooler and was not going to OC it until I got a NHD14. But it "looks" like it came factory OCed @ 4.3GHz. How did that happen?

it IS OCed 4.3GHz, right? redface.gif

No wonder it goes to ~90C within a minute of Prime95. rolleyes.gif

Only possible if you made changes in the BIOS or used the Auto Overclocking software.

Prebuilt rig? Then whoever you bought it from, overclocked it smile.gif

Please take the time to fill in your system rig using rigbuilder: Add your rig - My Profile > Create Rig or Rigbuilder > Edit signature text > Choose your sig rig as featured sig item.

Certainly strange. Have a go at clearing the CMOS and then start your overclocking adventure. smile.gif

I did this, but I could only go till 34.

Prime95 temps are down to 75 but my PC boots after 5 mins of blend test.

There is a switch on your MOBO which also auto overclocks your CPU.
Check the manual to see which it is. There should be 2 switches on the right top of your board its 1 of thoes.

EDIT:
Left top sorry LOL right top... jeez tongue.gif
