DHS doesn't care about people carjacking you. This isn't to report crimes in action, it's to report suspicious activity that could have something to do with a threat to "national security." Besides, if you get carjacked, what's the likelihood of you having the presence of mind to dig out your cell phone (if you aren't unlucky enough to have it sitting in your car that's now being driven away), unlock it, start the camera, and take a picture of anything worthwhile? It's not like a carjacker is going to wait around for you to take their picture. There is already a huge web of street cameras that could get a much better capture of an event in most locations. The reason for this is to rely on people's fears and reporting what they think are suspicious activities, not criminal activities. It's pretty sinister.

Not only that but in the US we have laws about taking pictures of minors without consent....

I just reported some suspicious activity yesterday. An individual wearing black yanked an old lady out of her car at a McDonald's drive thru, beat her up and tazed her. then his accomplices showed up and helped him drag her to his car to kidnap her. then this teenage girl tried to help but when she ran away the criminal tazed her too and she fell to the pavement and now she's brain dead for life. Then when these assailants saw me taking their photo they attempted to rob me of my camera to stop me from filming them on a public street.

Oh wait, it was just the police.....can i still report them to DHS?

I was just trying to make the point that the app could have some positive uses. But after reading all the posts i agree. Their all out to get me and take my freedom. The police are the devil. Whitey must die,and downloading copywrited material isnt stealing. Thank you for showing me the error of my ways. And punching someone in the face for taking your picture is acceptable behavior. I punch people in the face for just talking to me how dare they.

It's turning into martial law run by the police state. Now Walmart "asset protection" can break into your house and interrogate you without a warrant for suspected shoplifting and steal your stuff because you didn't keep your receipts.

this thread will probably be locked soon, but the truth hurts doesn't it?
