[Wired] Angry Birds, Meet Jailbirds: New App Helps You Snitch on Your Friends - Page 4

This is horrible. I live in NYC, which as you well may know has one of the most mixed populations, and my history professor would tell us stories of the NYPD constantly pulling her car over. Why? Because her husband is black and she is white so they thought he was carjacking or kidnapping her. rolleyes.gif

Now if the NYPD acts like this, imagine what your typical everyday ignorant moron would do.

Whitey must die,and downloading copywrited material isnt stealing. Thank you for showing me the error of my ways. And punching someone in the face for taking your picture is acceptable behavior. I punch people in the face for just talking to me how dare they.

Stop trolling and do some simple internet research of innocent people getting arrested, getting the death penalty, or spending their entire lives in prison.

Right, because a new way of reporting potential criminals shouldn't be here and isn't already possible by calling 911, just now it's more efficient and has more data.

Average people are not trained to recognize potential criminal activities. They rely mostly on preconceived ideas and TV shows.

So you always fully stop for 3 seconds, look both ways, never go over speed limit ect ect.

There's no such thing as a law abiding citizen, just people who do less "wrong".

My co-worker has been developing a similar app for a few months... looks like someone beat him to it.

I sincerely hope that one day, in the not too distant future, people get tired of being walked on by the government and stand against it. North America needs an "Arab Revolution" of it's own, as while these governments may not seem to being doing lots of harm in the big picture, it is the smaller picture that is hurting us the people.

I find this hilarious, absolutely hilarious. The comments in this thread are as if the NDAA, Patriot ACT, etc. never happened. It's as if we're all of a sudden in a police state, despite it having been building up for 20 years.

85 Things the US government considers suspicious or terrorist activities.
http://www.takepart.com/article/2012/02/15/you-may-already-be-fbi-terror-suspect-85-things-not-do

Sadly most, already living in denial, will claim it doesn't apply to them but here's a quote for you.

Father Martin Niemöller:
Quote:
First they came for the Socialists, and I did not speak out --
Because I was not a Socialist.

Then they came for the Trade Unionists, and I did not speak out --
Because I was not a Trade Unionist.

Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out --
Because I was not a Jew.

Then they came for me -- and there was no one left to speak for me.
