I personally haven't flamed either version, I've simply explained why publishers have shifted focus away from the PC versions.

I understood what you said. I was just stating how the thread was heading. biggrin.gif

Something we are experiencing with BF3 currently. Especially with their Steam platform, they understand the importance of publishing fixes as soon as possible, rather then waiting 4 months to do it in a combo update.

Wait you're literally talking about different executables and libraries? Of course they're different, how would you run x86 code on an Xbox 360 or PS3? Why are we even discussing this? Unless a game runs on a VM, like Minecraft, there will have to be different versions for each supported platform.

No, I'm not speaking about the literal differences between the platforms. I'm referring to the end user experience. The UI, the controls and gameplay factors. The same game engine, yet different versions of the game to cater to each platform. Something that EA doesn't get and Valve does. Why is this so hard to understand? Just because you use a console, doesn't mean it's ok to ruin the experience on PC because of the console's limitations.

No you haven't played enough, obviously. Quality over quantity. 1000 hours means nothing if you don't really play it thoroughly. The fact that you don't run into these bugs means you don't actually play enough. And I'm not just talking about purely time spent inside the game. I'm talking about playing the game to it's full extent. When most of your deaths are due to bugs, it becomes quite irritating to continue playing. I must be a sadist, because I keep torturing myself with this game for some reason.

rolleyes.gif Whatever you say. You've obviously been watching every single match I play and know exactly how I play. I only, you know, play just about every role I can when needed. The only thing I don't do is pilot although I have tried many times and have flown with other people. But nope.. I haven't played enough. I haven't tried to explore all aspects of this game that I so dearly enjoy.

You still have no credibility. I still feel like you've just gone and looked up bugs that some people have experienced and are claiming they're game-breaking and unavoidable. I doubt you've even played BF3 that much.

But, whatever. I'm done with this. You're a troll. xD I've seen your posts elsewhere and this is all you do. I should probably give you the privilege of being the first person on my ignore list! smile.gif

Who's the troll? 300 hours is barely playing? Where have you been in the BF3 thread? You can't comprehend that just because your limited experience with the game hasn't come across these bugs or you don't care about them means that they don't exist? BF3's netcode is probably one of the worst for a AAA FPS title. They're so lazy they can't even fix it that they give you a slider to mess with yourself.

The fact that people try and use the rarest bugs as their crutch for whining about a game probably means you should just leave it for now.

Be happy that you're one of the supposedly ten people that can play the game without it exploding their computer and stealing their credit card details.

Rarest bugs... Now that's someone who doesn't actually play.

Oh look, just tried to join a game and got sent to single player. Tried to rejoin and "you were disconnected from EA Online". Third time got in though. Yeah, no bugs in BF3. I love getting shot behind corners 3 seconds later when my ping is 60.

Well obviously you haven't played enough if you haven't experienced game-breaking bugs! You need to search for them, man!

If you're talking about UI and controls not getting much attention in PC versions then I agree with you, it doesn't take much time for a developer to make sure the player's interface to the game is smooth and comfortable on each different platform. It's sad when things like that get de-prioritized. That is what happens when a publisher gets to tell the developers what to do. Developers always want a great experience for everyone, publishers put their foot down with extremely tight deadlines and budgets, often regardless of the detriment to the end user's experience. Valve isn't run or owned by a separate publisher, they get to set their own deadlines, which is part of what makes them so great. DICE, Infinity Ward, and Treyarch will continue to make PC versions of their FPSes that are less than great for these reasons.
